Call for patent disclosure: - No one declared a patent. AR Review: - none New items: Mike is unable to make it to 3 Tuesday meetings: - Sep 18, Oct 16, Nov 6 - We can try to have Wednesday meetings in those weeks Continued review of the IQ specification: 5.2.22. {OPTIONAL} [Receiver Thresholds] Vinh_dc, Vinl_dc complete - Roy pointed out that there is an extra space after "condition". AR: Mike remove duplicate space from 5.2.22 5.2.2. {LEVEL 3} [Model] Vinl and Vinh reasonable - This has been recently reviewed and changed (but see below). - We decided that this check looks mostly OK. - Mike made changes to be consistent with IBIS terminology: - Changed "subparameters" to "parameters" - Changed "section" after "[Model]" to "keyword". 5.2.5. {LEVEL 3} [Model Spec] Vinl and Vinh reasonable - This has been recently reviewed and changed. - The text in 1.1v did not match the rewrite sent by David Banas, so we reviewed that text from his email. - We changed "complete" in the title to "reasonable". - We were not sure about keeping this: "The min and max values given must be correct for the min and max values given for the supply voltage in the [Voltage Range] keyword." - The correspondence of typ/min/max across parameters is assumed. - Discussion of HSTL and SSTL technologies was deleted. - Mike suggested a requirement comparing [Model] to [Model Spec]: - "The [Model] Vinl and Vinh values must match corresponding values in [Model Spec], if any. These may correspond to typ, min, or max values in the [Model Spec] keyword, as appropriate." - Bob: TTL 0.8V/2.0V was the guaranteed bracket - But devices always switched at 1.2V anyway - David: Are there examples where [Model Spec] Vinh typ does not match [Model] Vinh? - Bob: Yes, could use min or max for [Model] Vinh - Moshiul: Vmeas is specified as a percent of power anyway - Bob: Timing fixtures imply a single power voltage - We decided to add this requirement to 5.2.2, not 5.2.5. - We decided to change "some I/O standards" to "many I/O standards". AR: Mike make changes to 5.2.5 5.2.6. {LEVEL 2} [Model Spec] Vinl+/- and Vinh+/- complete - This should be a level 3 check, because these are used for timing. - We decided to add: "This would be required for inputs that exhibit hysteresis, such as Schmitt trigger devices." AR: Mike make changes to 5.2.6 AR: Mike find out if ibischk catches less than 4 hysteresis params 5.2.7. {LEVEL 2} [Model Spec] Vinl+/Vinh+ greater than Vinl-/Vinh- - We agreed to delete this check because ibischk checks it 5.2.8. {LEVEL 3} [Model Spec] Vinl+/- and Vinh+/- enclose Vmeas - There was debate over the idea of combining this with 5.2.6. - Mike preferred to keep existence and quality checks separate. - Moshiul pointed out that we have a precedent for reducing the number of checks. - We decided to combine this into 5.2.6. - Title becomes "... complete and reasonable" AR: Mike update and release 1.1x document Next meeting: 18 Sep 2007 11-12 AM EST (8-9 AM PST) Phone: 1.877.384.0543 or 1.800.743.7560 Passcode: 90437837 Meeting ended at 12:01 PM Eastern Time.
